Morning Walk At Windsor Nature Park (05 Nov 2021)

I have been lazy and didn't keep up with my macro photography sessions. As I was on leave and the weather was fine and sunny, I decided to drop by Windsor Nature Park for a morning macro photography session.

When I reached the place, I was surprised that the place was crowded with joggers and hikers even though it is a weekday. It is not a good news as this means the lower chance of finding beetles due to the high foot traffic on the trails.

It has been raining for the past few days and the place is wetter than usual. With the wet weather, many types of fungi or mushrooms sprang up throughout the trail. Here's an interesting shot of one of them.

Leaf Beetle (Graphops curtipennis) ~ 4 mm

Fungus Weevil ~ 10 mm

Beetle Larva ~ 8 mm

Darkling Beetle ~ 2 mm

Leaf Beetle (Chabria angulicollis) ~ 5 mm.
[NB: Previously wrongly identified as Argopus brevis.]

Darkling Beetle (Phymatosoma rufonotatum) ~ 10 mm

Ladybird Beetle ~ 4 mm

The number of beetles encountered was considerably low, possibly due to the high foot traffic and also the wet weather for the past few days. Nevertheless, it is still a good trip especially after such a long break since my last macro photography session.😀
